Alhaji abu Lamini has revealed that former ASEC Mimosa midfielder Mark Sekyere is in preliminary talks for a possible return to the club.
The influential Board member says the contract of Mark Sekyere with Asec Mimosa has expired and the player has indicated his readiness to move to Kotoko.
Kotoko have endured a terrible start to the season, having picked only one win in five league games, and the club is in search of a remedy to halt the downward spiral.
”Mark Sekyere called me and he said his contract has expired with Asec Mimosa and he want to play for Kotoko and I called Opoku Nti to start a preliminary talks with the player for a possible move Kotoko,” Alhaji Abu Lamini told Nhyira FM
“We know Jackson Owusu is injured and we will need a buck up for his position,” he added
Kotoko will be hoping to strengthen their midfielder following the absence of Jackson Owusu and Daniel Larbi Koomson.
Mark Sekyere was an integral member of the Asante Kotoko squad that won the Ghana Premier League in the 2007/2008 League season.
