Wondrous Ghana defender Rashid Sumaila has been voted

Al Qadsia player of the month of March following a run of terrific performances for the Kuwaiti League leaders.
In a poll conducted by the technical team and players of the league leaders, the Ghana defender emerged the most outstanding player in the month of March for the Qadsia-based club.
Sumaila, 23, had been voted the Most Valuable Player in two matches by the fans of the club in March after he displayed a stupendous performance to push the club to the summit of the league.
The former Asante Kotoko and Dwarfs defender also scored two goals for Al Qadsia in the month of March as a defender to cap his splendid performance.
He scored against Al Kuwaiti in the Amir Cup semi finals as well as fetching another goal against Al Tadhamon in a friendly played last weekend.
For his prize, the inspirational defender received an undisclosed amount of cash in an envelope as well as an autographed jersey by the president and coach of the club.
Sumaila a member of Ghana’s 2014 World Cup squad has been left out of the Black Stars since Israeli trainer Avram Grant took over as the head coach of Ghana’s senior national team.
The magnificent form of the defender has compelled many to chastise the Black Stars trainer for ignoring him ahead of the double-header 2017 Afcon qualifier with Mozambique.
Al Qadsia are currently on top of the Kuwaiti League table stretching the lead with four points with three matches to go.
