The splendid performance by the 28-year-old, Jackson Owusu for Asante Kotoko against BYF Academy  in the FA Cup at the weekend earned him massive applauds from the visiting fans yesterday.

Jackson,  was paired in midfield with Michael Akuffo, with Jackson operating as a defensive midfielder sitting infront of Asante Kotoko defense started the Round 64 tie at the Nana Gyamfi Park in Bekwai and played for the entire 90 minutes giving Asante Kotoko stability in their midfield.

‘Akwasi Motor’ (as his nickname)  had gone through difficult times since he broke his leg in January 2016, the operation on his leg and rehabilitation process saw him missing the entire 2015/16 football season.

Jackson’s progress after the injury was healed had been slow seeing him featuring in just three Premier League games this season

The former Berekum Chelsea star started and performed well after returning from the leg broken injury as his performance saw Asante Kotoko defeating BYF Academy  (3-1) on penalties after a drawing 1-1 scoreline.

Asante Kotoko hosts Aduana Stars on Wednesday at the Baba Yara Stadium in the match day 13 of the Ghana Premier League, and hopes to see another great performance from Jackson Owusu.
