Baba Mahama has gone straight into Asante Kotoko XI since the arrival of Steve Polack, scoring two crucial goals against Proud United in the F.A. Cup and Tema Youth.
The ex-Techiman City playermaker Baba Mahama will have to remain humble if he’s to fulfil his potential of being one of the best players for the Porcupines.
Mahama has put up super performance in recent games since arrival of Steve Polack. He was impressive in the Porcupines last Sunday win against Tema Youth, being adjudged as Man of the Match.
Mahama, had produced the last two of the goals for the Reds, also impressing in their Premier League 1-0 away win at Tema.
The fabulous fans of the biggest football team in the country, during an interview with BERKO RICHARD, shared their views…
“He is still young, and I think he has talent, he has ambition, he has a big passion for the game and until now he has humility,” Emmanuel K. Boadu (Asafo, Kumasi)
Another fan who shared his was Agyemang Francis (Asokwa, Kumasi) “We have to take care that he keeps that quality because it’s an important one”.
“But he has gained confidence and power since the arrival of Steve Polack, I believe as well he has a good combination of quick passing, picking players out and running with the ball” said Nana Kwame (Ejisu)
Charles Owusu said “He gets that balance right, until now, and that’s not easy, his goal against Tema Youth shows how he’s technically gifted”
Mahama’s new form will also excite the Porcupines head coach, Steve Polack ahead of the crucial league game against Olympics as Asante Kotoko is yet to record a win a home since beating WAFA 1-0 on March 15, 2017, following four successive home draw against Inter Allies, Ebusua Dwarfs, Aduana Stars and Tema Youth.
Asante Kotoko will play host to Great Olympics on Sunday, in match-day 17 of the Ghana Premier League.
