After saving two penalties in the final, The Asante Kotoko youngster has revealed his reasons for the eye-catching performance he exhibited during the African u17 Championship in Gabon.
Danlad in an interview with Kasapa FM said, he’s had the opportunity to train with senior goalkeepers like Felix Annan, Ernest Sowah Isaac Amoako (all of Asante Kotoko) and Eric Ofori Antwi (now with Medeama) and the advice taken from them had been crucial to his development.
“Felix and co don’t leave me astray during and after training but hands me the necessary advice and talks that will lead me on, they are my seniors and have to learn from them” said Danlad.
No player was able to put a ball at the back of his net and recorded four clean sheets till the final, a game he saved two penalty kicks.
The Black Starlets had qualified for the 2017 U-17 Championship to be hosted in India in October.
Danlad is currently a member of Asante Kotoko’s first team after joining the Porcupines last year from lower Division side Hamburg FC in Sunyani.
