Ollenu Ashittey Reveals Why He Left Hearts Of Oak For Asante Kotoko

Former Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko winger Ollenu Ashittey has explained why he joined the Porcupines.

The exciting forward secured a transfer to join the Porcupine Warriors in 2017 as a free agent after partying ways with Hearts of Oak.

Though he arrived in Kumasi with a lot of prospects, he could not live up to expectations. The 25-year-old spent only one season at Asante Kotoko after he failed to impress in the 2017/2018 Ghana football campaign.

He has therefore revealed that he joined Kotoko from rivals Hearts of Oak because of the Reds’ lucrative offer they made.

“I don’t regret and I’ll never regret leaving Hearts of Oak for Kotoko,” he told Sikka FM.

“I left Hearts of Oak for Asante Kotoko because of the ‘good money’ they offered me. Life is all about money after God.”

Ollenu is currently contracted to Eleven Wonders after ending a short stint with Great Olympics recently before the Ghana Premier League season was suspended due to the Coronavirus.
